Application, Screening, & Training

Individuals wishing consideration can apply by contacting SAVS staff directly or applying online.

  • Applicants must fill out a personal information disclosure form, a confidentiality agreement, a length of commitment agreement as well as information specific to driver’s license and automobile insurance.
  • A release giving authority to local police to perform criminal records checks and a vulnerable persons sector check must be signed by the potential candidate and submitted before the application can be considered.

 

Once the initial application process is complete, the applicant moves into the screening process, which includes:

  • A formal interview that will be conducted by a panel of individuals that may consist of SAVS staff, Board of Directors, and Volunteers.
  • Personal and professional reference calls that will be made by SAVS staff.

 

Successful candidates accepted for training will be notified of the time, dates, location and sessions of the upcoming training.
