A monetary donation to Sudbury & Area Victim Services is a gift of hope. Each year Sudbury & Area Victim Services gives children, adults, and families affected by crime and tragedy the tools and resources they need to cope with the effects of trauma. Join local businesses and residents in improving lives in our community by getting involved. Through your support, victims in the Greater Sudbury Area will receive the help, healing and hope they need during their most difficult time. Your donation will go directly to helping victims access the services they need be it through lock changes, emergency transportation, or basic needs such as clothing and toiletries. Donations will also go toward supporting our volunteers by keeping their emergency kits stocked.

Sponsor a Volunteer or Children’s Kit
When assisting the police at the scene of a crime or tragedy our Crisis Responders are equipped with a wide variety of resources and tools to be given on site. Items such as clothing, toiletries, blankets and gift cards are just a few items that our Crisis Responders use on a regular basis to help aid and comfort a person in need. Also children are often present and in order to provide security and relief we provide children of all age groups with different items from our children’s kits; colouring books, teddy bears etc… If you would like to make a financial donation to replenish our volunteer kits or children’s kits please contact us either by telephone 705-522-6970 or email email@example.com.
Practical resources for victims of Crime and Tragic Circumstance
When we are assisting victims of crime and tragic circumstance we often encounter the need for practical assistance. For example: in the midst of a crisis when a woman is leaving an abusive relationship she may face various obstacles that may prevent her from moving forward. In cases of tragedy people often have no one to turn to and have lost everything.
Below are some common items that we have used to assist individuals in a time of need:
- Grocery gift cards to purchase food.
- Clothing store gift cards to help purchase clothes and other items that may have been left behind when leaving the home due to either a crime related occurrence or a tragedy.
- Gas gift cards
- Gift cards to stores to assist in the purchasing of safety items for the victims home (locks, alarms, etc…).
